Philosophy / Inspiration
I am inspired by the art that ceramics can create by capturing the moments of the creative process in a finished piece, as if time were imprinted on a piece to be appreciated through a ceramic language of shapes, colors and textures.
I like being able to work with a personal language that reflects the vision and learning that I have experienced of ceramic culture in Europe and Latin America and being able to be inspired by the natural environment and the people who have been a great influence on my training as a ceramicist.
The central essence of my work is to create ceramics closer to people, their customs and needs, and to commit to the environment and its personal responses.
Some of the pieces become useful objects while other contemplative objects as a means of plastic expression of the clay.
